So... Decorating of the House for Christmas 2008 is underway here.
Things are a bit - shall we say - cluttered. And messy. And chaotic.
It seems like I do one thing and three things get undone behind me.
I'm sure it doesn't have anything to do with a certain little two-year old boy.
Take the basement for instance. Way back there through the doorway is where I store all the
crap I buy at HomeGoods and Hobby Lobbylovely home decor.

And yes. That's a don't-currently-use-have-never-really-used-but-for-sure-am-going-to-use-someday-real-soon treadmill.
Various and sundry twigs and berries left over from decorating the mantle. Maybe I can get Thomas to haul them away on his branch line.
Only part of the clutter in the kitchen. It took me nearly 2 hours to get that tiny little wreath hung in the window. Rocket science I tell you.

Oh, I hear you and feel your pain. I'm cleaning up after visitors that have gone: washing linens/towels, bathrooms. I've managed to put away all of the fall/Thanksgiving decorations. Tomorrow I haul all of the Christmas decorations out. I'm afraid. Very afraid. It will take me 3 days at least.
I'm in the middle of a big ole mess myself. sigh!
Hang in there. I'm trying to myself.
I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful.
Hugs!

I haven't gotten into my "mess" yet, but it will come soon - and I'll be genuis-status with ya!!
Remember, keep your chin up - so you can see above the clutter! ;-)
Even in the midst of your family's chaos your home is still beautiful!
I love the basket on the back of the toilet. It is the perfect size and looks so neat and decorated!
I understand. Even though I have a smaller space, I still can't keep it organized.
You wanna see clutter? Just come over to my place. I'll beat a path through the tailgating gear thrown in the floor, the dog toys, and the superhero goodies strewn about. Your place looks like a SANCTUARY compared to mine right now!
I think we're decorating next weekend. Hubby is down for the count this morning with a stomach bug. :(
He's my "get the tree down from the attic" guy so...
Love that last photo!!! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.
Stop by when you get a chance...there's a blog award waiting for you.
Happy Sunday Hugs!

I'm just about to the place where we're cleaned up well enough to START the Christmas tornado! Yesterday I was eyeing the neatest Old World Santa in the store and I thought, "Step away, you have too much stuff already!"
One thing I know for sure-- your outcomes usually are just stunning!! Can't wait to see your finished product.
Hugs,
Susan
That looks pretty good compared to the nightmare at my house right now!
Clutter....aye...don't even go there...!
I just love looking at your pictures...your house is so beautiful and I totally covet your kitchen!
Happy Christmas decorating!!!
Precious post! Loved the pics...especially the last one!
Oh now I don't feel like such a looser!! See, my house usually looks like that!! I get one room cleaned, and I turn around and the previous room I clean is now cluttered with little people and dress up clothes!!
