What a Difference TWO Years Makes

11.18.2007

Today was the day for our annual Family Photos. We use the photos for our Christmas cards and send them for Christmas gifts to our family. And, since Adam's a December baby, we get some individual photos of him to mark each milestone year.

This got me reminiscing a bit. This was our Christmas card photo two years ago. Adam was four days old. We did a combo Christmas card/birth announcement. The card read, "Look what we found under our tree!" I told everyone before I had him that I intended to get Christmas cards out on schedule and I'm sure they thought I was nuts, but the mission was accomplished. I addressed the envelopes at Thanksgiving time. Adam was born December 16th and the cards were mailed December 21st.

Doug took this a couple weeks ago when he was playing with the kids at the park.

Oh, how time flies...

Adorable kiddos! And, yes, time does really fly, doesn't it. Happy Thanksgiving!

The 5 Bickies :

You are on the ball with your card...still wondering what I am going to do this year! Love the photos of your beautiful family.

Momma Roar :

Wonderful pictures!

Guess what? Elle and Adam share the same birthday - Elle will be 3 on the 16th! I did the same thing - I had everything addressed and T mailed them went he went home from the hospital. We knew we were having a girl and were settled on the name Noelle (elle for short) and I had stickers inside...just opted out of trying to guess her weight and length. Oh, she was a scheduled c-section - so we even knew the date!!!! Colin is also a Dec bday, Dec 7, and I did have a picture with him last year. I'll have to post them shortly.
Actually, I was just browsing some christmas card picture ideas before I clicked over!!!

Both photos are wonderful. The kids are all gorgeous, so taking a good photo should be easy. I know...it's hard, no matter what.

Looking forward to seeing you soon...less than 2 weeks!

Hugs!
Kat

Nadine :

Those photos are just wonderful. I love the smiles. It always amazing me how much kids grow in short periods of time.

Tammy :

What absolute wonderful pictures, Jill! I notice your step-daughter in particular really seems older! Well, of course, little Adam does too! :)

I recently found some snapshots which made me realize how much my oldest, especially, had matured in looks in just 2 or 3 years, too.

And did I miss out on your birthday? I just glanced down on the post below...a very happy belated birthday, Jill!
And have a wonderful Thanksgiving, too! :D

Fran :

What a precious picture! The kids really have grown since last year haven't they? Our picture this year will be of our family at my oldest son's wedding. It seems like just yesterday he was a year old!

Fran

Dianne :

I love seeing pictures like that. It's hard to see how much they grow every day, but when you have something like that to compare, it is fun...and amazing!

Jill Davis Doughtie :

They're such cuties! What a lovely family.

Sandy :

Love the photos!
Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Jamie :

How cute....they look so adorable!!

Sandi @the WhistleStop Cafe :

I love the comparison~ time does fly!
This may be the first time in 25 years that we have not been able to get everyone infront of a camera at the same time.
Lesson Here~~ take that picture every year. No Matter What!
